Ryan Gosling told ComicBook.com that there won t be a sequel to The Nice Guys because the original movie was overwhelmed by The Angry Birds at the box office during its debut weekend. The Nice Guy was also released alongside Neighbors 2 while Captain America: Civil War was already pulling the crowd.
