A flash flood warning went out to those in the Lewiston and Auburn region Tuesday evening. According to National Weather Service, some 2 to 4 inches of rain was expected and the warning is in place until 9:30 p.m.
Androscoggin County will be under a flood watch Thursday after flash flooding Tuesday evening. Lewiston and Auburn endured 5 inches of rain in some areas which fell in less than two hours, creating brief but severe floods.
