If you have to be stranded in a snowstorm, you could pick worse places than the local pub. About 60 people found that out over the weekend when a storm left them stranded for three nights at the Tan Hill Inn in Swaledale, about 200 miles north of London in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. One of the pub’s owners said they’d stocked up in anticipation of the storm, so they could take care of stranded guests.
