However work the cold air passing over the relatively warm ocean waters, i do expect some snow showers and squalls to develop across cape cod bay and Massachusetts Bay and then go over the cape and the islands. Thats where well see accumulating snow this afternoon, this evening and into the Early Morning hours tomorrow. Even a few of these snow showers with a slight easterly direction of a northerly wind, if that makes any sense, coming in may skirt coastal Plymouth County. We could get a little snow there. Directions here. You see the scene behind me. It is a messy one. Massachusetts state police say route one should be shut down for possibly a couple ohours as they work to clean all of this up. You see this car hit a utility pole. It snapped it and pulled the wires down on to the roads. 10,000 volts are running through those wires. The power has been cut at this point. It was a very precarious scene earlier this morning. This was a twocar accident, actually. Route one on the southbound side here. She decided she was going to turn into this carwash here on route one. Driver who hit the utility pole, forcing her off of the road and into the pole. She was not seriously injured. People here at the carwash were in a panic. That woman was in the car. The pole, the wires and trchlers were on her car. The owner of the carwash says the driver got out on her own. I was really nervous. Vehicle in case it was charged with electricity and just touched the person. Very quickly. And away from the wire

In fact arctic air pressing from the north and light snow from worcester down to the black stone valley close to 495. Some of this now pressing in. Coating to half an inch of snow over the next hour or so. Bristol county then once we get into the afternoonual watch the transition of this phasing away. However the ocean effect snow will take over and this where we see most of the accumulation. We have the coating of snow this morning. Already to the north and west weve dropped into the 20s. North shore back to Worcester County. Well. You can see the skies are mainly clear. Just a few patchy clouds off to the north and west. But what we have going on is an arctic frontal boundary that is pushing through the area right now. On the other side of this front it is in the Single Digits and right around zero up in ottawa. Thats the air mass that is going to feed in as those winds turn to the north and northwestment so were actually going to see the temperatures hold steady for a bit this morning and then drop by noontime its down to 25 degrees and those winds are going to be kicking up as well.
