Sentencing for triple-murderer Mauricio Johnson has been delayed by nearly four weeks because the Probation Department failed to provide a pre-sentence report in time.
Murder suspect Ryan Anthony Tanner is scheduled for a preliminary hearing next month on 10 felony counts involving a separate alleged victim who claims Tanner kidnapped him and assaulted him with various weapons.
Prosecutors accepted the offer of 150 years to life in prison, according to Mauricio Johnson’s attorney, Andrea Sullivan, with his first parole hearing in 25 years, the Humboldt County District Attorney said.
According to a press release from the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office, Mauricio Eduardo Johnson on Tuesday pleaded guilty to three counts of first-degree murder and admitted to three special allegations of using a firearm in the deaths of Nikki Metcalf and Margarett Moon, both 40, and 16-year-old Shelly Autumn Mae Moon.
