The Duke of Edinburgh’s Funeral will take place on Saturday 17 April 2021 at 3pm in St George’s Chapel, Windsor. The Funeral Service will begin with a National Minute’s Silence at three o’clock. The service will be preceded by a ceremonial procession inside the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The plans for the funeral are in line with The Duke of Edinburgh s own personal wishes, and the occasion will recognise and celebrate The Duke’s life and his more than 70 years of service to The Queen, the UK and the Commonwealth.
It will be a Ceremonial Royal Funeral, the same as for Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother, rather than a State Funeral – something which is generally reserved for Monarchs. The plans have been approved by The Queen and reflect appropriate Government advice.

The Microscience Microscopy Congress (mmc2021) is quite simply the biggest and boldest of its kind in Europe. For many years it has brought the global microscopy and imaging community together and served as a unique opportunity for companies – both large and small – to showcase a quantity and quality of equipment that never fails to impress.
Although many public events around the globe continue to be postponed or cancelled due to COVID-19, the RMS has risen to the challenge of running mmc2021 as a one-hundred-per-cent, virtual conference and exhibition. Though nothing can fully replace the experience of meeting colleagues, clients and friends in person, moving the Congress online means we will still have the opportunity to connect and that mmc2021 will be accessible across the world.

Despite the fact that the UK has now left the EU, both pieces of legislation are still applicable in Britain.
While both of these documents share the common goal of reducing emissions from the industrial sector, they’re actually very different concepts with different roles to play. Despite this, they have been sometimes used interchangeably in the mainstream media and by external commentators unfamiliar with the ins and outs of the legislation. This has created some confusion in the industry over what the terms mean and how they differ from each other. With that in mind, this guide has been cre
