RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - The Richmond and Henrico Health Districts will offer walk-up COVID-19 vaccination appointments at Virginia Union University.
The VUU clinics will administer the Pfizer vaccine on Fridays over the next few weeks.
Individuals are not required to pre-register or schedule an appointment ahead of time.
Anyone 16 years of age or older can get the vaccine. Minors will need to be with a guardian.
The events will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
Registering for vaccination became easier in Richmond and Henrico today, with the launch of a new web portal and phone number for people seeking COVID-19 vaccines.

RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) - Anyone who lives in Richmond or Henrico no longer needs to pre-register for the coronavirus vaccine.
Now, anyone can contact the Richmond-Henrico Health District and schedule an appointment. Just call 804-205-3501.
Appointments can also be booked online at vax.rchd.com.
“We are no longer in the time of long lists and waiting by your phone to get an appointment,” explains Amy Popovich, Nurse Manager at Richmond and Henrico Health Districts. “This is a new era of getting COVID-19 vaccines.”

RICHMOND, Va. As Virginia gets closer to herd immunity, signing up for the COVID-19 vaccine in Richmond and Henrico just got easier. Popovich said that the two health districts have gotten rid of pre-registration for vaccination clinics, something that is possible after everyone on their pre-registration list is contacted at least once.

Bethany Blues restaurants in Lewes and Bethany Beach held dine and donate events in March to raise funds for Beebe Healthcare’s COVID-19 Relief Fund.
They were promoted by the host organization and iHeart Media Delmarva. Net proceeds totaled $2,478.
