Bela rusian president Alexander Lukashenko says hes agreed with president putin that russia would provide what he called comprehensive assistance in the event of an external military threat. Mr lukashenko told a gathering of defence chiefs he was worried about what he said was a build up of military forces in neighbouring poland and lithuania and was moving additional troops to the countrys western border.
