A group of former Commonwealth Edison executives and lobbyists has been found guilty of participating in an eight-year-long conspiracy to bribe former Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan (D) to advance the utility company’s legislative agenda.
Prosecutors alleged they gave Madigan allies jobs and contracts at the utility in exchange for an easier path for ComEd-supported legislation in Springfield.
