LOWELL The Colombian community of Lowell showed up in force and decked out in their ancestral country’s colors of yellow, blue and red to celebrate the country’s Independence Day in a flag-raising ceremony at City Hall on Thursday.
THE RACE is on, and as of this past Friday, 27 Lowell residents had signaled their interest in running for office by signing their names to the 2023 City Election Nomination Paper Log kept on file in the Elections Office at City Hall.
Lowell’s city manager, Tom Golden, said the city plans to clean out the area in the coming days as the region continues to grapple with how to handle such encampments.
