Potholes can cause blown tires, dented rims, damaged wheels, dislodged wheel weights, displaced struts, dislocated shock absorbers and damaged exhaust systems. Less obvious problems that may occur include misaligned steering systems and ruptured ball joints. Repair bills can range from under $250 to over $1,000, according to AAA.
