good morning. don t check your calendar or watches, i m don scott in for gigi barnett. i m tim williams. it s going to be another hot day. take a look outside. the horizon is already hazy. today different than the last few. the humidity and temperatures near record highs. we have not been near records in the last few days. the record is around 103. it s actually 101. we ll be near 103 today. we re already at 79 with the dew points up in the 70s. we have an excessive heat warning in effect that goes into effect at 11:00 today through 10:00. heat illness a possibility for some. we urge you to stay hydrated. today is a day to pull out all the stops. we will continue to keep you posted. today 103, sunshine and hot. the heat index will be around 110 today. over night lows around 77, partly cloudy. you can t have this type of heat without thunderstorm potential. that stays with us through tomorrow. 98 tomorrow. some thunderstorms could be strong. after they move through here we s
humidity tomorrow worse than today. considerably worse than today. an excessive heat warning will go into effect tomorrow afternoon into tomorrow night. you can see, about three- quarters of the region. otherwise, we have heat advisories. and yes, excessive heat watches in effect for tomorrow. most everywhere tomorrow is going to be at least 10, maybe 12 to 15 degrees above average this time of year. we re talking upper 90s to the low 100s. tim has a look at these temperatures. well, by simple definition, you know, a heat wave is a significant amount of time, over our temperatures, over our normal temperatures. and of course, through july, we re 6 days in, and we have been well above for the entire time. sunny start to these 90-degree temperatures. 97. sunday. 94. we got to 96 tuesday. 97 wednesday. 99 on thursday. and already, as you ve heard, we ve hit 99 today, with the temperature tomorrow, expected to be up around 101 to 103. as far as what this means for saturday, wel
