A downtown Montreal building collapsed overnight on rue Saint-Christophe, near the corner with Sainte-Catherine East. Around 7 a.m. on November 11, Montreal police were called to secure the area, while firefighters inspected the rubble.
Montreal police (SPVM) say neither alcohol nor speed was involved when a car careened out of control, crashing through a fence, a private patio and into a swing set at a playground on Saturday.
One person is dead and two others are in the hospital after what witnesses say, according to the SPVM, was a drive-by shooting in downtown Montreal Tuesday night. The incident occurred at around 8 p.m., when authorities received a 911 call about gunshots near the intersection of rues Saint-Antoine and de la Montagne.
