A youth group in the Tema West constituency in the Greater Accra Region under the umbrella of a group called Concerned Tema West Youth say it will in the coming days petition Parliament for the removal of their legislator, Carlos Ahenkorah.
When the wind of changes blew in the 2016 general elections, Sefwi Akontombra was not left out. The electoral fortunes of the New Patriotic Party were anchored on an independent candidate who once served as the first Member of Parliament when Sefwi Akontombra was calved out of Sefwi Wiawso District/Constituency.
In fact and indeed, many political pundits never thought that in spite of the wind of change in 2016, NPP could whisk away the Akontombra seat from the hands of the National Democratic Congress in 2020 having regard to how long the NDC clinched on to that particular seat in time past.
