isn t it tragic that gun safety is a partisan issue, protecting our children in the schools, protecting innocent people from being killed in their homes and on the streets. isn t it sad that that s an partisan issue? isn t it sad that the minimum wage in ohio the minimum wage right now is $10.10. isn t it sad that wanting to improve the lives of working families is considered a partisan issue. i really think we have to push back regularly on that. we aren t the ones that made it a partisan issue. i mean, i grew up in a union family. right? i grew up understanding. a working class family that our only power was in number. that s why you supported unions because when you organize, you re stronger. we knew who was on our side and who was against us. it s always been pretty clear. we didn t make that a partisan issue. we made that an issue of survival. ability to advocate for other people. so, i understand why larose is talking this way. screaming from the rafters as you will, if you wil
1 to begin with, ohio s republican secretary of state, frank larose, for months even frank larose dismissed the idea that issue one had anything to do but then last may, mr. larose was caught on video in a private meeting with supporters saying the quiet part out loud. some people say, this is all about abortion. well, you know what? i am pro-life. i think many of you are as well. right? [applause] and this is about this is 100% about keeping a radical, pro abortion amendment out of our constitution. the left once to jam it in there this coming november. and so, yes, it s about abortion yes, it is about abortion. yes. well, there you have. it conservatives in ohio are hiding the ball there here. they are pretending that issue 1 is about minors getting sex changes and trans ideology taking over the classroom. and they are doing that because they know their position on abortion is deeply, deeply unpopular.
