The CII stands condemned for its ‘Christmas coup’ while the PFS is charged with ‘serious and significant governance failures’. Can the two sides somehow reach a peace deal?
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) as “part of its commitment to delivering value for its members” is transitioning to a new customer and member relationship management system.
Both the CII and PFS want to continue working together. Both agree the current dispute is not good for the professions as a whole and both agree the survival of the CII is desirable and necessary. It is essential they work together to achieve this and without using up all of those disputed reserves.
The CII installed three new institute directors on the PFS board. The move was denounced as a ‘Christmas coup’ by prominent PFS members, and there began what could be described as a civil war.
