Kupwara (JK): Days after the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, the Army on Saturday said it will exercise maximum restraint in case of any violation of the understanding by the other side.

Jammu (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], February 23 (ANI): An Army soldier was killed in an accidental firing during training in the Akhnoor sector in Jammu district on Tuesday, informed a defence spokesperson.
Gunner Sayan Ghosh of Artillery Regiment suffered a fatal injury due to a firing accident while carrying out live firing training at Field Firing Ranges in Akhnoor Sector today morning, according to Defence Public Relations Officer, Jammu.

Jammu: Three infiltrators were reportedly killed and four Army soldiers injured overnight along the Line of Control (LoC) in J&K s Jammu district where the army foiled an infiltration bid, officials said on Wednesday.
Defence sources said Pakistan Army started heavy shelling in Khour area of LoC s Akhnoor sector on Tuesday evening to facilitate infiltration of terrorists. Four army soldiers were injured in Pakistani shelling and three terrorists were killed in Indian retaliatory action while the infiltration bid was foiled.

In a big success for the security forces, the Indian Army has managed to gun down three terrorists who were trying to sneak into the Indian territory. Troops deployed along the line of control noticed a suspected movement when a group of 5-6 terrorist tried to sneak into the territory in the Akhnoor sector of the line of control. Three terrorists were killed and 2-3 others went back to the Pakistan side.
