Nearly 30 years after the hillsborough disaster, six people, including former Police Officers, are to face criminal charges. 96 liverpool fans died in a crush at the Football Ground in april 1989. New inquests last year concluded the fans had been unlawfully killed. Today it was announced that former Chief Superintendent David Duckenfield is to face charges of manslaughter by Gross Negligence and five other figures will also be prosecuted. Campaigners say the charges send a message about accountability, as our correspondent Judith Moritz reports. They have had enquiries, investigations and inquest, but the hillsborough families have never had public prosecutions. They have fought for nearly 30 years for this moment. I am absolutely delighted.
