NEW DELHI: The four teachers among the 11 government servants sacked by J&K administration recently for alleged terror links and ‘anti-national’ activities were not only radicalizing pupils in their respective schools and institutions but also influencing youngsters in their respective localities to join terror ranks, according to sources in the Central intelligence agencies.
While Nasir Ahmad Tantray, sacked from his job as a teacher at GMS, Batengu, Anantnag, was purportedly associated with Hizbul Mujahideen and Jamaat e Islami, both banned outfits under Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act; Mohammad Jabar Parray, whose services as a lecturer in District Institute of Education & Training (DIET), were terminated, was known as ‘Chhota Geelani’ among Jamaat-e-Islami cadres and was closely working with Jaish e Mohammad, said a source.
