Agriculture gets third highest priority

Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal has proposed a 10-year tax exemption to industries engaged in processing locally grown agricultural products and machineries in the proposed national budget for 2021-2022 fiscal.
“I propose to offer tax exemption, subject to certain conditions, for 10 years to industries engaged in processing locally grown fruits and vegetables, producing milk and dairy products, producing baby foods entirely from locally grown agricultural products, and manufacturing of agricultural machineries, the finance minister said while unveiling the budget at the National Parliament on Thursday.
Flourishing of agro-based industries and generation of employment are possible through the production of import substitute agricultural products in Bangladesh, he said.

As per available information the said money laundering case was registered by the federal agency last year. Last year in November and December the agency had carried out raids at multiple locations in connection with its ongoing money laundering probe into suspicious transactions and alleged financial fraud in J&K Bank.

Four days after the Enforcement Directorate summoned her to join probe in an ongoing money laundering case, former J&K Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has moved the Delhi High Court challenging the summons issued by ED.
The data indicates that the employment index has remained consistent in December with no changes in regards to the previous month. However, owing to the pandemic and its impact across various job sectors, the overall index has dropped significantly by 15% as compared to the previous year (December 2019).

Bangkok [Thailand], December 22 (ANI): In a move to boost the exports of India s agricultural and processed food products, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in Thailand, organised a virtual Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) on Monday, where key stakeholders from both governments and trade participated for strengthening strategic cooperation between India and Thailand in agri-food sector.
According to an official release, presentations were made during the summit by trade associations from India on potential products for exports to Thailand such as grapes, pomegranate, vegetable, dairy products and other ready-to-eat products. The Thailand Trade Associations and importers explained their requirement or standards for agri imports from India.
