Gunmen kill Pakistani Anti-Terrorism Court judge, 3 others of family

An anti-terrorism court judge and three members of his family, including wife and a two-year-old grandson, were shot dead after unidentified gunmen attacked their vehicle while they were travelling from the Swat Valley in northwest Pakistan to Islamabad, police said.
Two security guards who were part of the judge s convoy were also injured in the shootout.

Judge Aftab Afridi of the Swat Anti-Terrorism Court was shot dead along with his wife, daughter and grandson after unidentified assailants opened fire on his car on Sunday. The driver of the vehicle was left injured by the attack.
According to police, Afridi was traveling to Islamabad from Swat when the attackers opened fire on his car at the Swabi Interchange on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway. All four deceased Afridi, his wife Bibi Zainab, daughter Kiran, and three-year-old grandson Mohammad Sanan died on the spot, while driver Jehangir Khan was left critically injured.

Imran Khan strongly condemns murder of ATC judge Aftab Afridi
Prime Minister Imran Khan has strongly condemned the murder of ATC judge Aftab Afridi, his wife and two children at Anbar Interchange, Swabi.
In a tweet today (Sunday), he said, the perpetrators of this gruesome act will be apprehended and dealt with full severity of the law.

Five suspects were arrested on Monday in connection with the killing of a Swat anti-terrorism court judge and his family members, police said.
A day earlier, Judge Aftab Afridi was travelling to Islamabad from Peshawar when his car came under fire at the Swabi Interchange on the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway.
