The Last Kingdom season five was given the green light by Netflix back in 2020 and work on the new episodes has started. The season four finale saw Sigtryggr (played by Eysteinn Sigurðarson) and Stiorra (Ruby Hartley) leave Winchester following the siege. Uhtred (Alexander Dreymon) was tasked with raising Aethelstan (Caspar Griffiths) as a strong fighter and heir to the throne and fans are wondering whether there willl be a time jump.
