The Union Health Ministry on Sunday lauded India s efforts in conducting a successful vaccination drive in such a short span of time. As more and more health beneficiaries recieved Covid jabs, the health ministry compared the doses with other developed nations like US and UK. It said India took only 6 days to administer one million Covid-19 vaccine doses, which is a higher count than countries like the US and the UK.

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], January 23 (ANI): As many as 6,960 new COVID-19 cases and 23 deaths were reported in Kerala in the last 24 hours, the state health minister informed.
The total number of recoveries in the state now stands at 8,08,377, including 5,283 in the last 24 hours.
There are currently 72,048 active COVID-19 cases in the state.
As many as 123 healthcare workers suffered Adverse Effects Following Immunisation (AEFI), out of 15 lakh COVID vaccination conducted pan India till Saturday, the Union Health Ministry said. (ANI)

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], January 23 (ANI): As many 27 new COVID-19 cases and 73 recoveries were reported from Himachal Pradesh in the last 24 hours, the health department informed on Saturday.
The total number of positive cases in the state currently stands at 57,189, including 55,745 recoveries and 469 active cases.
The death toll in the state stands at 959.
