A TEAM of volunteers who worked tirelessly to get Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to frontline health workers during the pandemic have been recognised for their efforts. The group - Addingham Visor Army - raised thousands of pounds to source and distribute visors to Airedale Hospital and local GPs. Now Addingham Civic Society has presented the seven women with Civic Pride Awards. Due to lockdown they met in the centre of the village to receive the awards and couldn’t even shake hands. The wording on their certificates says: “A Civic Pride Award in recognition of the huge effort made by the group to fund, produce and deliver personal protective equipment for front line workers during the 2019 Covid-19 Pandemic.”
