Security agents in Adamawa State have been deployed to comb the nooks and crannies of the state in search of the abducted female journalist, Amra Ahmed Diska and his abductors.
SaharaReporters learnt from the police that security operatives are working in collaboration with members of the Nigerian Union of Journalists to rescue her.

Their mission also involves capturing the gunmen and bringing them to justice.

ASP Ibrahim Abdullahi was fatally shot early Saturday, when he was attacked by scores of gangsters working for a wanted criminal in Adamawa state.
Abdullahi, who was promoted ASP (Assistant Superintendent of Police) a few weeks ago, led some policemen to the home of the criminal to arrest him.
But they were heavily resisted. He paid the ultimate price, while three other policemen were also injured.
The Adamawa Police Command’s spokesman, DSP Suleiman Nguroje, said the policemen were attacked by no fewer than 60 armed hoodlums in Lafiya in Lamurde Local Government of the state.
“On April 24 between the hours of 12 midnight and 1 a.m. the command’s operatives attached to Numan Division were in Lafiya to effect arrest in a case of criminal conspiracy and theft.

Four suspects have been arrested by the Adamawa State Police Command for allegedly kidnapping some people and extorting money from others.
The Police Command which disclosed this in a statement to newsmen Wednesday, said it recovered N86,000 cash, three single barrel guns, threat letters, handsets and SIM cards from the suspects.
“On the 9/4/2021 and 11/4/2021 the Operatives of the Command attached to Gombi Division, received Complaint from two residents of Wuro Garba and Lugga villages of Hong Local Government Area that they received separate letters threatening them to pay a Million Naira each or risk being kidnapped,” the police statement said.
