Hello From the Future: Adam Samaha

We have arrived at the last 2023 commit that never got a Hello, and coincidentally, it was the first kid to commit to the class. He's also a kicker! And a local kid! That would be 2023 Huron HS (Ann Arbor) kicker Adam Samaha. The specialist Hello posts are always a little funky, and light on scouting, but we will do our best:    GURU RATINGS  Kornblue Kohl's 5 , #1 K No star given, #25 K Different sites because specialists are a different category of scouting. For the record, the 24/7 composite has Samaha listed as the #1 kicker in the 2023 class, but they are the only site of the usual ones we call upon to offer a rating. As a result, we turn to these two sites, with the links to them provided in the table [NOTE: Sailer, another specialist site, doesn't have a ranking for Samaha]. So... this is odd. Jake Moody Returns to Michigan

Michigan Football got some surprise good news on Saturday afternoon, when kicker Jake Moody announced he is returning for his final campaign at Michigan in 2022:  #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/psNLgl0aFQ Jake Moody (@jmoods13) January 15, 2022 This is obviously a huge development because Moody is a phenomenal kicker. The Northville native was 56/56 on extra points in 2021 and 23/25 on field goals, with his lone two misses coming from 40-49 yards away. Moody provided the team with clutch kicks all season long, including the game winner in Lincoln against Nebraska. His tremendous 2021 season won him the Bakken-Andersen B1G Kicker of the Year award, as well as the Lou Groza Award for national kicker of the year. He was also named 1st team All-B1G and a consensus All-American.  Moody's return allows Michigan to let Tommy Doman simmer another year, as well as providing an additional year of stability until 2023 commit Adam Samaha, currently the #1 kicking recruit in America, arrives on c

Joel Starlings Has Committed to Michigan

One of the first thoughts that came into the head of most Michigan fans after the Wolverines shocked Ohio State yesterday in Ann Arbor was about the impact that such a win would have on the recruiting trail. Today we began to see some of the dividends, as 4 defensive tackle Joel Starlings from the 2023 recruiting class announced his commitment to the Wolverines:  110% COMMITTED 〽️〽️〽️ #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/aa8UWW8FdZ -𝐆𝐑𝐈𝐌 𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐄𝐑- (@JoelStarlings) November 29, 2021 Starlings is from Benedictine HS in Richmond, VA and measures 6'5", 310 lbs.. He is currently nestled just inside the top 200 of the 24/7 Sports composite for the 2023 class, ranking #196 nationally as an overall prospect. Among defensive linemen, Starlings checks in at 27th, and he's ranked the 3rd best prospect in the state of Virginia. Starlings is just the second commit to the 2023 class, joining kicker Adam Samaha (from Ann Arbor's Huron HS), who commit
