McLean County Health Department (MCHD) health officials and Carle BroMenn will host a COVID-19 vaccine clinic Thursday, January 28 at the Activity & Recreation Center (ARC) on Ft. Jesse Road in Normal for healthcare personnel and first responders (individuals eligible in Phase 1A) by appointment only.
Those individuals living or working in McLean County who fall under Phase 1A (frontline healthcare personnel) that still need to make an appointment but have not received information to schedule for the January 28 clinic from the Health Department or from their employer can call (309) 888-5600.

As Illinois rolls out the second phase of its COVID-19 vaccination plan, a shortage of vaccines is slowing the process.
Phase 1B includes about 3.2 million residents, which includes anyone over 65 years old and frontline essential workers such as police and fire personnel, teachers and child care workers, public transit workers, postal workers, and grocery store employees. It also includes food, agricultural and manufacturing workers.
The state announced Tuesday that it would be adding Hy-Vee pharmacies to its list of locations offering COVID-19 vaccinations to the public, joining Walgreens and Jewel-Osco. The announcement brings the state’s current number of public vaccination sites to 278. Vaccinations will begin Wednesday at the Bloomington Hy-Vee, 1403 N. Veterans Parkway.
