Irate residents of Uganda Informal Settlement are fuming and calling for proper ablution facilities after their makeshift toilets were vandalised and left unattended for over three years. The residents claim that they are living like animals and have been reduced to relieving themselves in the nearby bushes due to the appalling and pathetic state of the toilets. When Rising Sun journalists entered the informal settlement, we were greeted by a smell of urine and feaces. The toilets, basin and showers were all destroyed and there is also urine, faeces and rubble strewn across the floor of the makeshift toilet.
