championship. lebron james. the whole team. lebron james. doesn t everyone just think lebron james is the heat? good morning, everyone. nice to have you with us on this very, very early start. i m ashleigh banfield. i m zoraida sambolin. let s get started here. let s start with the developing news this morning out of egypt about the health of former president hosni mubarak. we re getting conflicting reports about his actual condition. a state news agency is reporting the 84-year-old is clinically dead. but his lawyer says that he is in a coma. the military says mubarak s condition is critical. but that he is, indeed, still alive. all this confusion coming at a very critical time for egypt. thousands gathering overnight in cairo s tahrir square to protest the military leaders who were supposed to oversee the transition to democracy. instead, they are grabbing more power. ivan watson is live in cairo. ivan, what is the latest on mubarak s condition? reporter: the late
you might think that hispanics are the fastest growing immigrant group in the country but you d be wrong. a new pew studies shows that asians have surpassed them. 31% for hispanics. 10 years ago asians made up 19% of new immigrants. the number has almost doubled in just a decade. let me bring in deborah faye err rick. a lot of people are talking in our morning meeting about what this means politically, what it means economically. asian immigration way up. it still only makes up 5% of the u.s. population. explain this to us. reporter: it s not 5 or 6%. what we re talking about is a record 18.2 asian-americans in the united states. three or four adults were born abroad. they came from dozens of countries in the far east, southeast asia, the indian subcontinent. the shift occurs over the last decade. in 2005 you see the number of hispanic immigrants dropping while the number of asian immigrants begins to go up sharply. four years later, in 2009, asians become the largest immig
uncertainty. what are your sources telling you, how hard is it to break through? we had rumors before, what is fact and rumor? reporter: clear tough, especially because the debate over hosni mubarak s health has constantly been coming up in the course of thepast year and a half since he was ousted from power, similar protests in tahrir square, warnings that his health was deteriorating, and this as he was being brought on charges of corruption, as an accomplice to the deaths of hundreds of protesters in january and february of 2011. he was found guilty on most charges and acquitted on corruption charges. we have this middle east news agency report saying that he was clinically dead, denied by supreme council of armed forces which is arguing he is in critical condition now, but that his health is deteriorating, and that is overshadowing the political struggle under way of the seismic political changes we ve seen. with historic presidential elections last weekend taking place

well, with the highlight really of the morning has been testimony called by the defense of two pennsylvania state investigators who work order this case. one of them is now retired. the defense grilling them over their techniques in how they questioned alleged victims in this case. in particular, they concentrated on one, accuser number four. and the defense was suggesting to the jury that these investigators were in essence telling the victims what to say. encouraging them. tainting them by talking about what other victims alleged victims may have said. the defense attorney saying at one point they referred to an audiotape of accuser number four in which the investigator is heard saying that you are doing well, saying words to the effect of you we are hearing very similar things, sometimes word for word from other alleged victims in this case. and, in fact, after at one point told them we also heard others talk about actual oral sex. the investigators who were testifying
