Three East Lancashire towns have been named some of the worst places to live in England, but we think the areas are some of the best in the whole county.
Blackburn, Accrington and Burnley were ranked in the top 50 worst places to live in a 2021 survey by the
satirical website, I Live Here, after a record-breaking 125,681 people voted. Coming in at 28th, 35th and 38th respectively, the East Lancashire towns managed to avoid the top 10, dodging a wholly unjust and undignified berating from the website s contributors, unlike nearby Halifax, whose female residents were given a proper dressing down: The lovely ladies are not chatted up in this town, they totter out of the nightclubs legless and sh g in an alleyway. A truly awful town.
