Deadly crash on a des moines street. It left a des moines mother dead. And created a mess of metal and sparking power lines. The crash happened yesterday morning on 35th street. The car hit a utility poll and spun into a tree. 22year old scalicity perez. Also known as scalicty boyd was killed. The driver, troy mure, survived and is now recovering. Police are now looking into whether he was speeding or impaired. But his mother says it happened because another vehicle was chasing him. They waved a gun. He stepped on the gas to get away from them. And they hit the back of the car and made him lose control of the car. His mother says the reason for that chase goes back to an unsolved nightclub murder. Earlier this month a man was shot and killed outside evolution nightclub. Mure told his mother people are accusing him of being involved in the murder. The Polk County Sheriffs Department hasnt said whether mure is in fact considered a suspect in that murder.
