Patrick Mather, a Penn State alumnus and the Richard E. Garman Dean of Engineering and professor of chemical engineering at Bucknell University, has been named the dean of Penn State’s Schreyer Honors College, effective Aug. 16.
Osofsky is currently the dean of Penn State s law school and its school of international affairs.
Her name and 11-page curriculum vitae were released at 8 a.m. Sunday ahead of her 3:30 p.m. Monday public forum on the University of Iowa campus, which can be viewed at https://www.iowaregents.edu and https://presidentialsearch.uiowa.edu.
The next three finalists will be announced at 8 a.m. the day before their public interviews on campus on April 15, 19 and 22. The Board of Regents will make its selection of the next president April 30.
Osofsky earned a Ph.D. in geography from Oregon in 2013. She also holds a J.D. from Yale Law School. She graduated from Yale in 1993 with a major in philosophy and environmental studies. She joined Penn State, a member of the Big Ten Conference, in 2017.
