For the employees of the General Hospital “Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš”, the third action of this year s voluntary blood donation was organized today, in which 26 doses of precious liquid were collected.
Blood reserves must be constantly renewed, because blood also has a lifespan (erythrocytes up to 35 days, and platelets only five days). Every dose of blood collected is welcome and can save someone’s life.
The action was organized by the Department of Transfusion Medicine of the General Hospital in cooperation with the Institute of Transfusion Medicine of FB&H.
