Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has assured 10,000 people evicted from Masai Mau Forest last year that the Government will address their plight.
Speaking at Longisa trading centre in Bomet yesterday, the Kanu chairman said he would engage the relevant ministries to have the issues addressed once and for all.
“Let s not speak about 2022 while we still have the issue of Mau at hand. I m here to assure you, the people will be assisted,” said Gideon after opening a Kanu office at Mulot Sunset.
Gideon was in company of Kanu Secretary General Nick Salat William, MPs William Kamket (Tiaty), William Chepkut (Ainapkoi), Abdikarim Osman (Fafi), West Pokot County Assembly Speaker Catherine Mukenyang, Baringo Woman Rep Gladwell Cheruiyot and the Kenya National Union of Teachers Secretary General and Nominated MP Wilson Sossion.

The government is tightening the noose on alleged perpetrators of political violence, including shaming them and eventually blocking them off electoral contests.
In a multi-pronged approach, key institutions have swung into action to tame the rising political temperatures by holding isolated incidents to full account, and also promising bad returns for those sowing seeds of discord and mistrust among Kenyans.

The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) will end the marginalisation of pastoralist communities as every region will get an equitable share of national resources, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi has said.
He asked Kenyans to reject those spreading propaganda that BBI was about creating positions for the political class, saying the document would spur economic growth and foster cohesion in the country.
“I am here today to make a passionate appeal to you the people of Garissa and North Eastern at large to join other Kenyans of goodwill in passing this document. We shall have failed as leaders if we don’t point out areas of benefit to you,” he said.
