Grapevine girl, 7, gains international attention for her border policy protests

Paisley Elliott is not your average 7-year-old.
The Grapevine girl has been advocating on behalf of families who have been separated at the U.S.-Mexico border for four years, according to NBC 5. The news station reported Paisley will give a virtual speech to the United Nations Human Rights Council this weekend.
For most of the past year, Paisley has set up a tent in her front yard, protesting federal policies that have separated migrant families along the border.

Grapevine-Colleyville ISD has lost the beloved leader of its fine arts program.
David Zahrndt, 46, who was director of fine arts for the district, died March 6, according to the district.
“This past weekend, GCISD Director of Fine Arts David Zahrndt passed away unexpectedly,” the GCISD tweeted last Thursday.
Zahrndt died at his home, according to an obituary.
