Israel’s Defense Minister Benny Gantz has acknowledged that an Assad regime anti-aircraft missile fell near the Israeli nuclear reactor at Dimona before dawn on Thursday.
The missile exploded in mid-air about 20 miles short of the secretive facility, where Israel developed its first atomic bomb in 1966. Fragments fell to the ground, as air raid sirens rang out.
Gantz explained that the regime’s forces were firing at Israeli jets attacking pro-Assad targets near Damascus, but the errant missile traversed 125 miles of Israeli airspace and was not intercepted by Israel’s air defense.

Iran: We Will Enrich Uranium to 60%

Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi says Iran will begin enrichment of 60% uranium from Wednesday, shattering the provisions of the 2015 nuclear deal with the remaining 5+1 Powers (UK, France, Germany, China, and Russia).
Araqchi issued the announcement on Tuesday, with indirect talks resuming on Thursday in Vienna between Iran, the US, the European Union, and the other powers. The declaration follows Sunday’s deliberate explosion, likely the responsibility of Israel, on Iran’s main enrichment facility at Natanz.
Iran’s envoy to the International Atomic Energy Agency notified the organization of Tehran’s intentions.

UPDATE, 0810 GMT: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, speaking to Parliament, has blamed Israel for the explosion and blackout at the Natanz nuclear facility: “Zionists want to take revenge for the success in the path of lifting the oppressive sanctions, but we will not allow it and we will take revenge for these actions from Zionists themselves.”
Foreign Ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh also vowed, “Iran’s response will be taking revenge on the Zionist regime in due time and place.”
