Several areas of country witness rain 01 May 2021 Emadeddin Khalil, Staff Reporter Some regions of the country on Saturday witnessed rains of different intensity, because of the state being affected by a surface atmospheric depression extending from the Red Sea. It had also affected the southern Arabian Peninsula, while accompanied by an air depression in the upper atmosphere coming from the northwest, the National Centre of Meteorology said. Light rain began at 1:30 pm on Khorfakkan in Sharjah, Al Hallah and Badiyah in Fujairah, and on the Masafi-Dibba road, the NCM added. The NCM appealed to individuals to take precautions while driving during rainfall or if visibility was poor due to dusty winds. It also advised the public to stay away from places where there are surface runoffs.
