Some of the criminals locked up in Greater Manchester in April 2021
A vodka-fuelled rapist who subjected a child to grave sexual abuse and four people who hunted down a doting dad and murdered him were just some of the criminals locked up in the region in April.
Greater Manchester courts gave out hefty prison sentences for all manner of crimes last month.
Other offenders put behind bars include a road rage thug who left a man for dead and a paedophile who asked his victim s mum not to tell police he sexually assaulted her child.

George Leather A man who stabbed his wife hundreds of times has today been sentenced to a minimum jail term of 18 years for her murder. Emergency services were called to Tinling Close in Prescot to reports that 56-year-old Paula Leather had been found seriously injured at around 1.20am on Monday, November 16 2020. Her death was confirmed a short time later. Mrs Leather, who worked at Asda in St Helens, had suffered around 50 to 100 injuries to her face and neck and between 200 to 300 injuries to her body. Her husband, George Leather, was arrested at the scene and charged with murder. He pleaded guilty to murder and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.
