San Bernardino man suspected of kidnapping after theft of hairdryer in Apple Valley

A San Bernardino man faces several possible charges, including kidnapping, after authorities said he ordered a victim at gunpoint to drive him back to an Apple Valley store from which he had just shoplifted a hairdryer.
Aaron Munoz, 28, was booked at the High Desert Detention Center in Adelanto on suspicion of kidnapping and possession of a controlled substance while armed, among other allegations.
He remained in custody Friday afternoon in lieu of $250,000 bail, booking records showed.
According to court records, Munoz faces felony charges of assault with a firearm, false imprisonment, and being a felon or addict in possession of a firearm. Misdemeanor charges include resisting a peace officer and shoplifting.
