past couple days here in eagle pass we have seen a consistent flow of migrants arriving into the united states and also something that we really have not seen before, texas is bolstering its border here. you see these cargo containers behind me. they were brought in shortly before christmas and now over the past few days we saw the national guard installing razor wire on top of those shipping containers. and governor greg abbott s office tells us it s all a part of texas, quote: taking unprecedented action to enhance its border safety strategy. that s something that we re witnessing in real time here. it s happening in eagle pass and also to the northwest in el paso where the national guard installed two miles of fencing along the border there. and cbp sources tell fox news griff jenkins from october 1st through december 29th, there was a record 617,000 migrant encounters at the southern border. that s larger than the population of baltimore, 186,000 migrants expelled under title 42
