Heidi Lowe Gallery will offer a five-hour jewelry-making class on how to make a silver ring with a beach glass setting, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, May 22.
This is the perfect class for any beach lover. Participants will learn how to make a ring and set a piece of beach glass in silver. They will learn techniques such as sawing, filing, soldering and bezel setting. The gallery will provide a selection of beach glass for attendees to choose from, but if registrants have a few favorite pieces that they love and want to bring to class, instructors can figure out which one will work best for this project. Participants can wear their own handmade jewelry out the door.

The Queer Queens of Qomedy are thrilled to be coming to the historic Milton Theatre and to be a part of Delaware Pride.
Three comics – headliner Michelle Balin, Queer Queen Producer Poppy Champlin, and storyteller and comic Fay Jacobs – are on the bill for shows at 5:30 and 8 p.m., Friday, June 4.
Opening the show is writer/performer Fay Jacobs, who has been touring with her show Aging Gracelessly: 50 Shades of Fay. With four books under her belt, Jacobs is creating the movement of sit-down comedy. Critics call her the Last Comic Sitting and Rehoboth’s Mrs. Maisel.
Don’t forget Mother’s Day this Sunday. This past week, I was reflecting on my mom and grandmothers, all four of whom are deceased. As much as I loved my grandfathers, their memories were outstripped by those of the four “Moms” in my life. I realize.

The Rehoboth Beach Farmers Market opened for its 16th season May 4. There are roughly 35 vendors this year offering food, fresh fruits and vegetables, baked goods, coffee, seedlings for gardens, jams and jellies, desserts and more.
The market opened to perfect weather, but Market Master Pat Coluzzi said someone had sprayed liquid electrical tape on three outlets on the Grove Street side of the park, forcing the rearrangement of some vendors. She said it was done in an attempt to sabotage the market.
“Some people just don’t want us here,” said Coluzzi, shaking her head.
