Madison County leaders are asking people to be smart when it comes to coronavirus and getting together for the holidays this time of year.
One official said he s staying away from his family because it s just too risky.
Huntsville Hospital CEO David Spillers says 10% of the people they test for coronavirus in the hospital are asymptomatic, meaning they do not have any symptoms of the virus but test positive. He wants people to keep this in mind as they may choose to see family this holiday season.

The Huntsville City Council is discussing an agreement with Buffalo Rock Company that would invest at least $20 million in the area and employ more than 100 full-time employees.
Under new business on the Huntsville City Council’s agenda for Thursday evening is a resolution authorizing Mayor Tommy Battle to enter into a Project Development Agreement between the city and Buffalo Rock Company.

Madison County and Huntsville leaders hosted a coronavirus news conference at noon Wednesday at Huntsville City Hall.
Don Webster, Huntsville Emergency Medical Services Chief Operations Officer, David Spillers, Huntsville Hospital CEO, and Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle provided an update to the community on the continued local government and business response to the pandemic.

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - The Daughters of the American Revolution will be recognized for their contribution to historic Glenwood Cemetery by Mayor Tommy Battle on Monday.
The celebration will take place on December 14, at 2:30 p.m. The group recently donated $10,000 dollars to help revitalize Glenwood Cemetery.
WAFF is told, members of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Twickenham Town Chapter of NSDAR will be recognized for their fundraising campaign. Glenwood Cemetery is the largest African American city-owned cemetery in the southeast United States.
