Serious injuries reported following Highway 97 crash south of PG

Highway 97 has re-opened to traffic following a scary collision just south of Pineview.
The North District RCMP was called to an accident just after 5 pm last night (Wednesday) between Courval Road and White Road.
Cpl. Madonna Saunderson spoke to
MyPGNow.com.
“We know that a commercial vehicle and a passenger car were involved in the collision and I understand injuries are quite serious and that the highway was shut down for a period of time and no other information is available.”
An eye witness reported the crash occurred near Sunset Pines Greenhouse.
Search For Missing Man Comes To A Sad End

The search for a missing person in the Williams Lake area is now over.
Rcmp say the 38-year old man reported missing on May 27 was found deceased and foul play is not suspected.
Corporal Madonna Saunderson thanked everyone who participated in the search efforts and says their condolences are with family and friends at this difficult time.
BC Coroners Service has conduct of the investigation and no further information will be available at this time.
Pair of bulldozers sustain $500,000 damage following attempted theft near Vanderhoof

A recent incident near Vanderhoof took the term “stuck in the mud” to a whole another level.
According to the Vanderhoof RCMP, this follows a recent incident on the Barlow Forest Service Road last week (May 19th).
Police noted someone had been “off-roading” and had gotten their vehicle stuck in the mud.
Police say the individuals hotwired one of the bulldozers to pull out their vehicle but that also got stuck – then they used a second bulldozer and departed the area.
