Neighbors want change after family says three died in Oroville crash
Just after noon on Thursday, CHP responded to a crash on Lincoln Blvd. and Baggett Marysville Rd in South Oroville. Two males were pronounced dead at the scene, and the family says one child has died from their injuries.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Family members tell Action News Now one of the two children injured in the crash has died.
That brings the death toll to three.
On Lincoln Blvd and Baggett Marysville Rd in Oroville, is where police say a black SUV and a red Camaro were racing, but the SUV lost control and took out a power pole that crews replaced and neighbors say this isn’t the first time a crash like this has happened on this stretch of road.

OROVILLE, Calif. (Update 4:02 p.m.) – Two men are dead and a two and four-year-old have been flown to the hospital after a crash in south Oroville, according to CAL FIRE public information officer, Rick Carhart.
One child was flown to Oroville Hospital, while the other was taken to UC Davis Medical Center, according to Oroville CHP Officer, Ben Draper. He added, the two children are facing “life-changing” injuries.

OROVILLE, Calif. – One man is in the hospital with major injuries and accused of driving under the influence after a Monday morning crash south of Oroville.
On Monday at 4 a.m., CHP officers responded to a crash on Highway 70 near Little Ranch Road, south of Oroville. When officers arrived to the scene, they located a Subaru Forester that had hit a power pole head-on.

UPDATE: 3:34 a.m. Thursday, April 15, 2021 - One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a crash in South Oroville Thursday morning, according to the CHP.
The CHP confirmed to Action News Now Thursday afternoon that the passenger in the blue Suburban died in the hospital. The driver of the vehicle is in the hospital with major injuries.

HONCUT, Calif. - A Chico woman is behind bars after CHP officers say she was driving drunk Thursday and caused a wreck that killed one person on Highway 70 south of Oroville.
The crash happened around 11:24 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, on Highway 70 north of Middle Honcut Road, According to Officer Ben Draper, from the CHP Oroville area. It started when the driver of a 2018 Volvo SUV was driving north on the highway behind an Acura model car.
