Highways England is to carry out vital resurfacing and construction on the A64 between Sherburn and Staxton. The work is part of a £4 million investment in improving safety and journeys on the A64. Highways England project manager Gagandeep Singh said:“The vital repairs between Sherburn and Staxton are a significant next step in of our commitment to making the A64 safer and more dependable for road users. “There may be some disruption for people who live nearby, and we’ll do our best to minimise the inconvenience. However, I want to stress that these safety improvements will benefit residents as well as drivers. I’d like to thank everyone for their patience while we carry out these essential safety improvements.”
