Starz announced today that Emmy Award-winner Rosie O’Donnell is set to appear in its upcoming comedy series
Run the World.
O’Donnell will play the therapist of the four best friends are all using. However, Dr. Nancy Josephson isn’t your typical well-mannered therapist and is described as a “brash, foul-mouthed therapist that challenges the women to take ownership of their actions and acquire new tools for problem-solving.”
Run the World is an eight-episode series starring Amber Stevens West, Andrea Bordeaux, Bresha Webb, and Corbin Reid. The comedy is created by Leigh Davenport, who is also a co-executive producer with showrunner Yvette Lee Bowser. It’s set to tell the story of a group of Black women that live in Harlem. The show is set to premiere later this month on May 16, 2021, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT in the U.S. and Canada. Rosie O Donnell is set to guest star on upcoming Starz comedy series, Run the World, which premieres on May 16 at 8:30 p.m. EDT.

O Donnell will portray foul-mouthed therapist Dr. Nancy Josephson, who each best friend discovers they are seeing.
