A 28-year-old Biggera Waters man was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evade police, unlicensed driving and fraud. He is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.

Around 5.30pm, police were notified that an alleged stolen 4WD was spotted travelling north at Coolangatta with police commencing patrols for the vehicle. The damaged vehicle continued along Currumbin Creek Road failing to stop for police before travelling at slow speed into KP McGrath Drive at Elanora, where it collided with an unmarked police vehicle. No one was injured and the police vehicle sustained minor damage.
