Supergirl will pick up on the heels of tonight s, with both Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath) and Dreamer (Nicole Maines) still in the past, trying to complete their mission so that they can finally rescue Kara (Melissa Benoist) from the Phantom Zone.Â
The hour will also mark the directorial debut of series regular star Chyler Leigh (Alex Danvers), so it should make for quite an eventful hour as Young Kara (Izabela Vidovic) gets her first taste of kryptonite right before prom, which is probably a problem, to say the least.Â

With Kara still stuck in the Phanton Zone, next week s episode will see the Superfriends put a dangerous plan in motion as Brainiac 5 and Dreamer take a trip to the past to pay young Kara a visit.

Back to the Future-inspired two-parter that will see Brainiac 5 (Jesse Rath) and Dreamer (Nicole Maines) take a trip to the past to pay a visit to a young Kara (Izabela Vidovic) and Alex (Olivia Nikkanen) in a last-ditch effort to get the Girl of Steel (Melissa Benoist) out of the Phantom Zone.Â

While we re not entirely sure whether Kara will actually escape the Phantom Zone next week, she sure seems confident that she s finally found her way out in the sneak preview for next week s episode!

After spending a few weeks in the Phantom Zone, it looks like Kara s (Melissa Benoist) finally found a way to escape, but it sounds like her journey home is going to be a lot easier said than done and there could be some seriously dangerous strings attached.
Meanwhile, Lena (Katie McGrath) has some serious reservations about her future after she teams up with the Super Friends - Dreamer (Nicole Maines), Brainiac-5 (Jesse Rath), Miss Martian (Sharon Leal), Sentinal (Chyler Leigh), and Martian Manhunter (David Harewood)Â - on a mission and realizes that she may not necessarily fit in with the team and their ideals.Â

With Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) still very much trapped in the Phantom Zone - and possibly expected to stay there for more than a few episodes - it ll be up to her ever-loyal Superfriends to keep National City safe for the foreseeable future.Â
Next week s installment will see the Martian Manhunter (David Harewood) rally the team as they try to track down an escaped Phantom and put him away before he can cause too much damage. However, that s probably going to be a lot easier said than done with Alex (Chyler Leigh) still reeling from her sister being gone.Â
