Kuala Lumpur: Reigning All England champion Lee Zii Jia hopes to do well in the two remaining Olympic qualifying tournaments – Malaysia Open and Singapore Open – so as to boost his confidence ahead of the Tokyo Games in July.
The 23-year-old Kedahan said both the tournaments were important warm-ups to the July 23-Aug 8 Tokyo Olympics.
Having just resumed training last Friday after nearly two weeks of quarantine following the detection of 15 Covid-19 cases at the Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM), Zii Jia admitted that time was running out to get ready for the Malaysia Open (May 25-30) and Singapore Open (June 1-6).
