West Virginia long snapper Kyle Poland concentrates on technique as he sprints
Up next in our look at potential pro players as the NFL Draft approaches is West Virginia long snapper Kyle Poland.
Poland was West Virginia’s starting long snapper for just one year in 2020. Previously, he was slotted behind former standout Rex Sunahara, who is now trying to latch on with the Miami Dolphins. A member of the Big 12’s All-Academic first team, Poland also earned second-team All-America honors from Special Teams U, an organization that trains long snappers, including several NFL team members.
Poland is regarded as one of the top-rated snappers by more than one service for the upcoming NFL Draft, and he believes that his work at WVU’s Pro Day, along with tutelage from Special Teams U coach Kyle Stetler earlier this spring, have put him in position for a good chance to latch on with an NFL team.
